Master Bath Renovation
Located on a waterfront setting, this beautiful weekend home is a true getaway for a busy family of five.
The design for this renovation project replaces everything from tiles to plumbing fixtures with materials selected to amplify light, airy, beach like tones from the outdoors.
before & after
From the outset of our planning process, homeowners were excited to create a relaxing overall experience with a special steam bath spa feature offering wonderful health benefits to enhance their new master bath.
During demolition an existing half wall that was tied to a built in tub was removed opening the area with light and space.
To optimize steam shower function … a new tiled ceiling is built to slope toward the plumbing wall, allowing any water droplets that may collect there to be directed away from the occupant. Glass used round the steam shower area features an adjustable upper window built to control steam flow for comfort and ventilation. An extra towel bar fixture is located as a glass door pull for easy access to linens when entering or exiting the shower area.
Inside …
Rainhead and adjustable Handheld shower fixtures utilize thermostatic control valves to complete the functionality and can be calibrated luxuriously to personalize settings.
A simple rectangular shaped niche inset built here offers product storage space for two with a nice pop of color in the blue glass mosaic tiles.
Large format porcelain tile patterned with a subtle wave repeat were selected for walls, ceiling and floor to surround the master bath area as a whole with quiet restorative ambiance.
A soak in this elegant stand-alone bathtub completes the spa experience. Featuring Jason’s Micro Silk Water Technology, the new tub fixture offers natural skin cleansing, exfoliation, and moisturization through generation of oxygen-rich micro bubbles. To the hand, this feels like tiny champagne bubbles smoothing the skin with a refreshing, effervescent sensation.
What a fabulous way to relax and unwind!
